The Green Fleet Leadership Awards (GFLA) were presented at the 2011 Green Fleet Expo, at the Courtyard Marriott in Hamilton,hosted by FCO, Cities of Hamilton and Toronto and the Ministry of Transportation on June 2-3, 2011, in Hamilton, Ontario.
Awards presentations were made by Roger Smith (FCO), Chris Hill (City of Hamilton), Drew Shintani (City of Toronto) and Mike Cole (Ministry of Transportation) to the following winners:

The Fleet Challenge Ontario Green Fleet Leadership Awards are presented annually in recognition of accomplishments made by Ontario's public and private sector fleet managers in making their on-road, licensed motor vehicle fleets more environmentally responsible and/or having reduced fuel consumption, harmful greenhouse gas emissions and smog causing air contaminants, in the previous one-year period.
The award ceremony is held in conjunction with the annual Green Fleet Expo as co-hosted by the Cities of Toronto and Hamilton, and Fleet Challenge Ontario. Award winners are chosen based on an evaluation process that includes a points based scoring system and a review by a 5-person Peer Review Panel.


Roger Smith presented Mayor Karen Farbridge, City of Guelph, with the E3 Silver Award on June 26, 2010.
The E3 Fleet Award is a Canadian Rating System that recognizes fleet performance in terms of Environment, Energy and Excellence. Under the E3 Fleet program, public and private sector fleets can obtain ratings on staff training, idle reduction practices, vehicle purchasing practices, fleet operations and maintenance, trip and route planning, fuel efficiency and greenhouse gas performance.
