Allan is an accomplished fleet management professional who thrives on managing the delicate balance of fuel cost, maintenance cost and ownership cost. No stranger to achieving difficult objectives, he overlays analytical talents with strategic imperatives to help clients find opportunities for improving fleet performance. Allan has been actively involved in fleet management throughout his career. His cradle to grave fleet experience covers everything from vehicle conception and design to maintenance management to financing to remarketing. Whether tackling carbon reduction, cost reduction, process improvement or organization change, Allan merges his engineering and business background to realize change.    

Allan's personal fleet management journey includes a 5 year assignment in the Middle East where he helped build a fleet maintenance operation from the ground up. As the director of the largest corporate fleet in Canada, he implemented a plan to lower the carbon footprint of the fleet by right sizing vehicles, reduce idling and secure funding to replace aging inefficient vehicles with new reduced emission vehicles. More recently, with Fleet Challenge Ontario he has worked on a demonstration project to lower idling in police cars and ambulances using green technologies.  

Allan serves on the executive of the National Association of Fleet Administrators for Ontario. When he is not helping fleets improve their performance, he can be found on the slopes or the golf course, at a wine tasting or preparing a gourmet meal for friends and family.
